Nowadays, the clothing sense of people are highly inspired by global fashion trends. There are multiple factors are responsible behind this, but I strongly believe that easy access to internet in case of shopping, knowledge initiating through online platforms are spectacular. I think it is a positive development, as its helping this fashion industry to maximize profit and maintain sustainable economic growth.
If we observe meticulously, in last two decades globalization and internet accessibility have reached its peak. Online shopping has become a trend and buzzword. If we compare with previous times when people were used to buy clothes from physical retail stores, now it has become easier to purchase clothes from home. In addition to that, Social media platforms have influenced mass people to get motivated in case of picking up a certain brand. Before that, by brands we had several particular names in our heads. Freelancer’s effect is also responsible for this diabolical change. Nowadays anyone can be content creator and exhibit his or her design or fashion sense through online which may influence huge people. Another reason is technological advancement in software, digital marketing, payment method, and user experience. If I share an event from my personal experience, I was used to buy my clothes from physical stores but eventually I moved to online. While surfing online market I came across a website based clothing brand by named Elegant Fit, which I found extra-ordinary, because their system is so technically advanced that if I want I can see myself wearing their designs through artificial intelligence they have in their system. All I need to do is upload a passport size photo of myself.
As I said before, I find this development in a positive way. This revolution actually helped a lot of people with their financial conditions. The monopoly of big business giants got breached and ordinary people got the chance to enter in the competitive market and make money. Apart from economic development, this positive development helped with declining unemployment rate also. From consumer perception, it helped us to set free and make independent decisions regarding our choices. As a stakeholder we are no more bound to follow any certain parameter.
