To reduce air contamination, governments should implement a comprehensive strategy by improving the public transport system and encouraging people to use electric vehicles. It is worth noting that government should limit industrial emissions and foster renewable energy instead of fossil fuels. Moreover, cities should preserve existing parks and include green areas in new housing projects. For instance, in Berlin, Germany the city had preserved the existing part Tiergarten and integrated new ideas such as rooftop gardens, community parks and tree-lined streets in order to allow residents be close to nature despite high population. Not only that, but the government should introduce strict urban laws to protect green areas.
