Replacing human employees with AI in the workplace offers potential advantages like increasing efficiency, decreasing operation costs and reducing errors, but also poses risks like displacement, ethical concerns, creativity and loss of human touch. In this essay I will cite the pros and cons of AI replacing workers.
Artificial Intelligence can automate the processes and remove the repetitive tasks, freeing humans to focus on more complex and creative tasks. It can reduce the operation costs, leading to significant cost saving for businesses. AI systems can perform tasks with high accuracy and consistency and ensuring quality standards. Additionally, AI can analyze the huge amount of data which enables companies to make more informed and data-driven decisions. It provided new employment opportunities in the field like AI developments, data science and AI maintenance.
On the other hand, replacing employees with AI leads to an increase in the risk of displacement which in turn increases job insecurity among the employees. Also, the systems can be biased, and their uses raise the concerns of ethical security issues. Over reliance on the systems is not so good always as the system can malfunction or become obsolete. This can disrupt business operations. Employees may resist the introduction of AI companies, fearing job losses or feeling undervalued. Maintenance cost if AI can be an extra burden on the financial position of company.
In conclusion, one cannot see the one side while replacing the employees with Artificial Intelligence machines. Future work will likely collaborate with human beings and AI, rather than replacing human with IA.
