People have different views about how companies should sponsor sports as a way of advertising their products. While some argue that it would not be good for the sports world to endorse companies, I believe that being a brand ambassador can have several benefits for athletes.
There are various reasons why people believe that companies may have negative effects on the sports world. They may assert that some brand deals limit what an athlete can wear, say, or do publicly. From a personal perspective, it can be argued that these restrictions can lead to seven potential consequences, including public backlash and stress. On a societal level, advertising company products causes fans to accuse athletes of prioritizing money over their sport. Finally, being an endorser could lead to public hate, damage fan loyalty, and increase stress.
In spite of these arguments, I believe that companies can provide more benefits to athletes. In my opinion, sports clubs will benefit more if their members are endorsers of big companies. Besides, nobody can truly predict who can generate extra revenue for sports to refine techniques and equipment. If this were the case, perhaps we would need more advertising proposals from companies.
In conclusion, although it might seem sensible for people not to be ambassadors, I personally prefer the facilities that companies provide for sports.
