In many countries, free health care systems are funded and provided by the government, and it saves a huge amount of money for the people. However, it often does not provide efficient medicine for citizens. In this essay I will discuss both upsides and downsides of free medicine. Overall, both private and free health care systems are equally important.
The main advantages of state funds on free health system like hospitals, pharmacies and services is that its aids people to save enormous money. This system ensures people that everyone, irrespective their financial situations can afford a free medicine and be healthy. For instance, in Nordic countries, government provides full medical aid for everybody for free. Moreover, even medical tests and drugs are catered for.
One obvious negative effect of free medicine is long and overdue service of health care system. The demanding of people overwhelms the system, and services can be exhausting for citizens. For example, in UK, to have some medical tests people spend on average, from 5 to 7 days. Besides, people sometimes stand on a long queue, which can be boring and exhausting.
In my point of view, it is significant to use both private and free health care of these systems. If an individual needs an urgent and high-quality medical attention, private health care system will be advisable. Because they provide quality services and attend to patient’s needs urgently. Although, if people need basic medicine or emergency, it would be better to use government free health care system, which can also be cost effective and free.
In conclusion, using free health care system can help to save a lot of money and can be helpful in basic medicine, while premium medication needs a private medical care. Therefore, I recommend using both of them depending on situation.
