Nowadays, many people do not spend quality time with their children. This happens because parents are too occupied with their responsibilities. This problem affects children more than parents, as they are not fully developed yet.
The main reason why parents devote less time to their children is that they are too busy. Having the purpose of providing for their family, they work extra hours and on the weekends. For example, the average monthly salary in Kyrgyzstan is less than the renting price of an apartment. As a result, parents arrive home very late and are usually tired, which is why they prefer having rest instead of interacting with children.
Additionally, parents are absent because of modern technology. Many people spend an excessive amount of time on social media, which leads to less communication at home.
This situation has a bigger effect on children, because young people need attention, love, and advice from parents while they are growing up. When parents are too busy, children may feel lonely and misunderstood, which can lead to behavioral and emotional problems. For instance, many children who grow up with little parental involvement often have low self-esteem and perform worse at school because of a lack of motivation and guidance from their parents. Followingly, if adultsudalts have enough people around them who can support, children who have no one who will truly understand and guide them.
In conclusion, parents today spend less time with their children mainly because of their busy work schedules and evolving technology. Although this problem affects both sides, it has more serious consequences for children as it restricts their emotional growth and makes family relationships weaker.
