However, others state that this action has drawbacks. This is a controversial topic. I believe that it has more demerits than merits.
A fast-paced and busy life requires quick solutions for every problem, and people rely on technology for their work. Electronic devices are powerful tools for professionals to complete their tasks. Workplaces work digitally and depend on software for data analysis and other duties. For example, marketing organizations count on Microsoft Excel to tally their daily sale and purchases. People can access all features of MS Office by providing their personal data and credit card information to the recognized website.
On the other hand, many websites are not trustworthy. For instance, a few days back I purchased online software for my official work, and the link they shared with me for product download was directed to another website and they asked for more money. Nowadays, people are targeted by digital scammers such as account hackers who lock passwords and ask for ransome to unlock, online buyers who use bank details, and senders who send erroneous messages to friends and family. Another serious drawback of trading private information with these companies is alert fatigue, a bunch of emails and messages from the same source sometimes lead to overlooking important communications.
In conclusion, sharing sensitive information with companies is beneficial to some extent as people utilize their seamless services without trouble. Despite that, the digital world is fraudulent as many people are victimized by cybercrimes, which indicates that demerits outweigh the merits.
