Celebrations with plenty of traditional activities for the upcoming New Year are wordwide held by numerous people. In my opinion, these ceremonies are becoming flexible time by time. However, I believe that they are not for the purpose of profit-gained and still remain core value of the culture.
As to those who feel that these celebrations are commercialized, they are likely to have wrong impression of the meaning of New Year Eve. This special occasion is only held once time per year so that everyone want to do their best for this precious moment. As a result, profit is not their priority because people have worked hard and just want to find their joy with family around this time. If you go outside, there will be no opened shop about two days before New Year.
Moreover, I do not agree with the opinion that celebrations for the arrival of New Year have lost their cultural significance. The reason for my view being that no country in the world share the same custom and tradition. For this reason, New Year ceremony is a terrific time to show the significance of their culture to the world and also reminds local residents the glory of their history.
In sum, I believe that celebrations for New Year Eve around the world are not affected negatively by the money and values their culture as well. I hope that, in the future, everybody are still able to celebrate the arrival of New Year, a rare time for the true “relax”.
