The main cause of the decline of educational standards is because of the lack of book literacy in the school. One of the important facilities that affect this issue is books from any topic. If the school provides varieties of books, it can support the student to read more and have a good literacy. Therefore, there may be some students facing a difficult financial situation to afford the book. So, to address this issue, the school should provide a free book literacy that contain variety topics to encourage the student to have an interest in literacy and also numeracy.
Another problem is because of using social media overtime. Many children are addicted to scrolling social media all the time. This issue has affected their education, especially their level of literacy and numeracy. In fact, some children tend to use their mobile phone to scroll through social media platforms, such as tiktok, instagram. This habit make them not have a time to read an academic book. To solve this issue, the parents should control their children to not using their mobile phone every day.
In conclusion, the lack of the variety of books in the school can make student to not really interested in reading and numbering, and also using mobile phone overtime can cause the lack of literacy and numeracy. So, for the parents and school should tackle this issue.
