Band 4+: Many people believe that the best way to produce a happier society is to ensure that there are only small differences in earning between the richest and poorest members. What extent do you agree and disagree with?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

It is often argued that the best way to make society happier is to ensure that the richest and poorest people have the smallest differences in earnings. I partly agree with this view because this plan can provides more opportunities for poor people and this plan also can make whole society more unfair.

First of all, I believe this plan will bring more opportunities for poor people, poor groups will never worry about money. For instance, people who have financial problems will don’t need to worry about that and they can go to achieve their dreams rather than finish their job that they dislike. Meanwhile their children can also have better education source and have same opportunities to chase their dreams. Most significantly the half of the criminals will disappear and therefore this plan will provide many opportunities for poor people.

Second point is this paln also can make whole society more unfair because the differences in earnings have become the smallest so that the lazy people will get same salary as hardworking employess. Then there will have conflicts, many people will disagree with this situation. For example, Lazy people sleep all day long meanwhile other people are try their best to finish their works then it will effect them. At that time job becoem meaningful people feel unfair, after that there will never have person want to work, whole society will never get improve.

In conclusion, i believe this plan will bring positive and negative effect to society so that i partly agree with the best way to make society happier is to ensure that the richest and poorest people have the smallest differences in earnings.
