In today’s world, numerous citizens are struggling with poverty. Especially, when it comes to entering higher education, in most countries, tuition fees can be extremely high, which means that not everyone can afford to study at university. I completely agree with this opinion. This is because it gives equal opportunities to all people and also benefits the country.
If university is overly expensive, learners from low-income families can’t study and build a brighter future. As a result, the lack of equal opportunities can lead to poverty and social unrest. So, not giving everyone equal opportunities leads to failure and injustice.
Furthermore, not only does free university help to provide equal opportunities, but it also supports the country by producing qualified workers like professors and teachers. For example, in Norway, where there are no tuition fees, there are many workers with expertise in the oil industry and engineering field. This means cost-free education is a great benefit to national development. Thus, education should be considered by the government as a strategic investment in national growth.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that access to university should be free for all members of society, as it supports both future success and national development.
