In our modern time, numerous people say that a wide range of studies should be learned by college students, while others believe that students should learn one field of study. In my opinion, learning about a particular subject can be beneficial for university students.
It is my view that specialization allows students to become a master in a specific field. Moreover, they have an opportunity to acquire special and particular skills, and specialization in the specific field of study can lead to innovation and advancement. For example, in the USA, the government allocates a sizable amount of money for students’ and children’s education, especially in a specific subject to foster experts person that will be beneficial for the future of their country.
On the other hand, some people claim that learning a broad range of topic is extremely useful for college students, gives their a chance to improve various types of knowledge. They firmly insist that achieving divers knowledge can be upbringing a person with profound knowledge in all aspects of science. However, I do not find this argument convincing as when students become skilled in all a range of study may face to some critical problems in their professional and educational lives, as well as they might not be able to choose their suitable topics for their future career and cannot focus on a particular subject or job in the future. For instance, in Japan, many families believe that children must learn a various range of fields and this gives the opportunity to become an experienced person in the future. Unfortunately, these students, when they become younger run into essential problems in their educational ane profess life.
In conclusion, I completely agree that mastering a particular field of topic is more important than experting in all fields of subject. Also, these people are more likely to be successful in their study and job in the future.
