The question of what tool should be used by people to study from has long been a topic of debate, with some believing that online devices are more appropriate, while critics argue that printed materials are best to use in an education field. I personally support the former viewpoint as it is more convenience and ecologically friendly way of studying.
The proponents of traditional method of learning often highlight its importance for health. When students learn trough printed books, they do not damage their vision, which is possible with long interaction with the screen. Therefore, many individuals confess that it is easier to keep new information in mind when it is learned from printed materials. This, in turn, leads to efficiency of students in educational centers. In this regard, studying with printed recourses plays a pivotal role in the quality of learning.
Despite these benefits of learning trough printed books, they often fail to provide enough information and can not compete with using online devices in learning. Firstly, one key advantage of studying digital devices is the fact that such tools are able to provide a great variety of data and to diversify materials for students. As they gain new information in an interactive way, students’ engagement at classes is enhanced greatly. Beyond this, using electronic tools instead of printed ones is essential in preventing ecological catastrophes. It is confirmed that tons of wood are used in the production of papers, so that altering them with digital devices is one of the keys to solve problems related to the environment.
In conclusion, although traditional method of learning is efficient and less harmful, it should not take precedence over other crucial sectors. Given that learning through electronic devises serves as a way toward students’ engagement and solving ecological issues, I firmly believe that this technique has more privilege over the latter one.
