Band 5+: Many people like to eat unhealthy food even though they know it's bad for them. *Why and What are the most effective ways to improve people's eating habits?*

Nowadays ,a lot of people are eating unhealthy food as compared to individuals in past. The main reasons for this are unhealthy food is easily available and advertisement of fast foods. The solutions for this are by creating public awareness and fast food restaurants should add healthy food as option.

One primary reason people following unhealthy diet is because of its easy availability. In other words, majority of people are busy in their work life and they do not have time to cook healthy food at home. As a result, they go for alternatives like fast foods, which are available in almost every restaurants. For example, a survey in the USA, showed that the main reason of people who suffer from obesity was because of fast food restaurants that were available and opened all around the country.Another reason is marketing of fast foods. This is because some fast food companies invest a lot on promoting their products to look appealing and attract potential customers.

However ,to tackle this issue some measures can be taken .firstly ,general public should be educated about the effects of eating unnutritional diet. Secondly, fast food chains should add healthy food in their menu. That is to say, some people can get a chance to consume nutritional food outside their home who are very busy in their work life and donot get a chance to cook and eat. This helps people to maintain a healthy lifestyle. For example, a report revealed that in Russia, after the fast food hotels added healthy diet in their menu, the health of citizens there was marginally improved over the past few years.of eating non-nutritional foods and encouraged them to eat healthy foods.

In conclusion, the main reasons for people following unhealthy diet compared to past are fast food are easily available , and marketing of unhealthy food plays a vital role. The solutions for this are general public should be educated, and fast food restaurants should add nutritional food as an option in their menu to encourage people to eat healthy .
