In recent years, the debate over whether goverment should invest in space industry or not has risen. Some people claim that space is the future of human race and it will save us from the extinction we may doom on ourselves, while others firmly believe that for now goverment should focus on problems of current time. This essay will elucidate both sides of this argument and offer personal opinion.
On the one hand, future in where we will need space resources in order to keep excisting is not near. Thus, right now cosmos exploration shouldn’t be main priority of authorities. Furthermore, they should focus on problems that currently bothers their nations, like increasing number of drug addicts or poor level of healthcare system. For example, recent research has revealed that in many countries the amount of illegal drug selling acts is increasing rapidly with each year.
However, on the other hand, technologies that will allow us to explore space is a key factor to save humanity. Moreover, there is many resources in cosmos that we can exploit when Earths’ resources will drain. Likewise, we can also find a new planet suitable for human race to live on. For instance, many scientists say that in 3 to 4 centuries, our race will overpopulate the Earth and drain all its resources. Therefore, goverment should focus on space industry right now in order to save himanity from extinction.
In conclusion, after analyzing both sides of this argument I want to provide my personal opinion about this debate. I moderately agree with statement that goverment should invest more in space industry. Because it must be the top priority of any authorities to save their nation and their race.
