In the past, travel abroad was something that ordinary people could only dream of, but low-cost flights have made it possible for them to visit other countries for work, study, family. However, I do not think that cheap air travel should be encourage without limits, because the environmental cost is too serious to ignore.
Cheap air travel should not be reserved only for the wealthy people. It gives ordinary people access to travel abroad, students can study in other countries, workers can look for better opportunities, families can visit relatives. Tourism also supports many local economies, especially where depends too much on hotels, restaurants. Low-cost flights give people the chance to experience the activities, opportunities that they would otherwise be closed to them.
On the other hand, making flights more expensive could turn international movements into a privilege for wealthy people. Cheap air travel may be affordable for passenger, but the pollution from flights is cost by the environment. When flights are cheap, people often tend to take short flights those are not truly necessary, because the option is available. This encourages a culture where distance is not important and convenience outweighs responsibility.
I think that flights should be too expensive that ordinary people could not afford, because it helps protect environment and if flights are cheap, many unnecessary trip will be taken and it harms for the environment.
