It is often argued that the government should concentrate more toward protecting some species of animals, as others believe that focusing on society’s problems is more beneficial. This essay will discuss whether solving human issues is far more important than preserving animal species from extinction.
While it is undeniable that protecting rare species is our duty as humans, I disagree to some extent that it is more crucial than solving people’s problems. This is because humans as the top of the food chain, are the key players of this world and will always be. Therefore, getting solutions for the community instead of animals will benefit us and the animal itself more for the better future. For example, rather than searching a way to prevent meat-producing animals such as cows to extinct, scientists tend to find another way to solve this meat production situation by making man-made meat that is produced in laboratories. With this strategy, people not only manage to overcome food’s problems but also prevent cows killing spree that can cause cow extinction.
On the other hand, as the one that was given the ability to think and to lead this chain, humans also need to be aware of animals’ problems. This is because all animals have their purposes and it is our job to make it useful. By preventing animals from dying, people can learn more about all species, which will be useful globally. For instance, almost all our knowledge and technology come from animals such as the concept of flying that we learn from bird species. By preserving animals, we manage to analyze how birds can fly and implement it into machines that we call airplanes.
In conclusion, solving society’s problems will benefit us the most because not only it can make a better place for humans to live, but also it can give positive impact to the animal kingdom. The life of humans and animals is inseparable because it serves as a chain that connect between each other.
