In this modern era, the extinction of animals has happened more in comparison to previous decades. This essay will discuss whether people around the world should prevent this problem to occur, or whether there are more human related problems need to be focused on.
While species of animals’ disappearance can give negative impacts to the ecosystem, I partly agree that governments across the nations should focus more on the problems of human beings, such as poverty. The reason this problem needs to be focused on is, it will instantly impact the lives of human beings. It is widely known that poverty has been a major problem in most of the developing countries over the years, and it also affects other sectors of people’s lives. By not having proper monetary strength, people around the world find it difficult to fulfill their basic needs, such as foods, educations, healthcare, and places to live.
On the other hand, extinction of animals is also a problem that must be tackled too, as it could bring instability to the ecosystem. This could lead to distinction of other animal or plant species, leading to the decreasing in variety of food sources for human beings. For instance, extinction of bees could lead to disappearance of fruits as there is no one to help the reproduction of plants. However, the effect of this problem can be seen in many years after, giving a chance for humans to be adaptive to this change.
In conclusion, although extinction of animals is also a problem that needs to be focused on, I believe human related problems, such as poverty, should be prioritized to be tackled first. These problems affect humans’ lives in many sectors and in shorter time in comparison to the animal’s extinction problems.
