Some students decide to take a gap year after they graduate from high school before starting university. Students may experience high levels of stress because of intensive study schedule. I believe that taking a year off before going to university provides enough time to recover from tiredness caused by a demanding study schedule. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
One advantage of taking a gap year is that students have enough time to rest their minds because they are away from daily classes and exams, so they can concentrate better on their university courses. For example, doing their hobbies during this break can reduce students’ stress and clear their minds, helping them to focus more clearly on their studies.
One disadvantage of taking a gap year is that students’ regular study habits may weaken during this break because they spend their time on hobbies such as playing video games rather than studying. As a result, they may find it difficult to return to a regular study routine. However, this problem can be easily reduced by limiting their time spent on hobbies so they can return to their studies in their spare time.
In conclusion, although a gap year before starting university may weaken regular study habits, I believe that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. This is because taketaking a year off provides students with time to clear their minds induring this break, so they can focus more on their university courses. As a result, students have to find an appropriate balance between study and personal life for more sustainable and better working schedules.
