Band 5+: Many universities are now offering fully online degree programs. Do the benefits of accessible education for anyone, anywhere outweigh the drawbacks of lacking in-person interaction?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In my opinion, the online degree programs in universities around the world is our reality nowadays. It has been begining since pandemy COVID-19 on a massive scale, when such type of education became popular and didn’t have alternative. Actually, today many higher educational institutions closes their offices and try to using online platforms, like Skipe, Facebook and so on.

New techologes gave us new type of communication and a lot of benefits. Students shoudn’t spend time and money on the road animore. Moreover, how we know, online-education is cheaper then traditional in-person courses. Plus you can get a diploma in Europe at same time are live in Asia and on the contrary.

On the other hand, many experts criticize online lessons. The main problem is bad internet connection. Secondly, teachers often are conservative and not ready to use new technologes. Of course, it’s impossible to transfer some medicine or chemistry subjects online. Next negative effect is change in lifestyles. For instance, students transform theirs bedroom or hall to student place. It’s uncomfortable. Futhermore, using new, more poorer type of communication, you could be lost your schoolmates.

Obviousely that nobody couldn’t stop innovations in system of higher education. But I consider that we need to take all the best from new progressive methods. Actually, sometimes would be healthy use Skype and Meta and sitting at home at rainy season in South Asia or snowfall in Russia. Futhermore, thankfully investors, the apps owners improved quality sound, video and other options, important for users. In particular, added new functions, such as group meetings and opportunity to show screen. I really enjoy it!
