It is unemployment that a huge number of young specialists struggle with in the early stages of their careers nowadays. This issue is mainly caused by a lack of the experience and relevant skills. In order to address the pressing issue, government should implement effective measures to improve students’ skills.
One of the primary reasons for the problem is the absence of practical skills and experience. Mainly, education systems over concentrating on theory without practical experience may not match labor market needs. For example, in several countries of Central Asia, youth unemployment exceeds approximately thirty-five percent, indicating a significant social problem. As a result, despite the qualifications taken even in the best universities of the country, graduates remain without perspectives in the job market.
To tackle the current social problem, graduates might receive training programs and internships; if implemented, such programs could significantly improve the situation in the labor market. Not only might these measures from the government provide practical skills required by employers, but they also enable graduates to gain real-world exposure. One clear example of this is how Germany’s apprenticeship programs reduce youth unemployment. Therefore, the described programs dramatically increase the employability of young people.
In conclusion, the issue of a lack of perspectives in the labor market can be addressed with governmental programs directed at increasing youth presentation of the profession.
