In this age, it is awkward to imagine a person without mobile phones because they have entered and become an important part of our lives. We use them almost everywhere for various objectives. Since this technology is involved in our lives, a lot of operations have become easier in comparison to before. However, some people believe that using mobile phones in some places such as libraries, shops and on public transport should be banned. I mostly disagree with this statement because normally people do not plan where they will use their phone and there is not certain reason to ban mobile phone usage.
First and foremost, it is clear that mobile phones are integral part of our lives. We also know that sometimes harmful aspects of using mobile phone outweigh the benefits. However, these facts do not mean that mobile phones should be banned in certain places as nowadays, there are situations where we have to use mobile phones constantly. To illustrate, it would be absurd to avoid sending text messages while in a shop or on public transport.
In addition, there is also no concrete reason to support the idea of banning mobile phone usage. Frankly, it is good for people to use mobile phones less, especially in crowded environments and environments that require awareness. For example, actions such as playing games or typing messages in crowded areas can be distracting, potentially leading to unpleasant situations. Nevertheless, these facts could only serve as advice to mobile phone users, and there is no convincing reason to ban mobile phone usage in certain places like these.
In conclusion, it is not a sensible approach to ban mobile phones in some places without any convincing justification. It should be people’s own choice whether or not to use their phones in certain places, of course, if there is not any exception.
