Recently, there have been several perspectives about “Child-free,” and it has become a significant issue globally. One notion is that individuals prefer to be “child-free” due to self-centred reasons, and another idea is that it is because of moral purposes. This essay will focus on both viewpoints, and I contend in support of the last mentioned.
Several individuals believe that being child-free is because of selfishness. We understand when a baby is born, he needs caring for by his parents. It means that parents have to deal with a considerable amount of time during their children’s growth in such different aspects as nourishment and education. Consequently, they will not have sufficient time for additional programs like excitement, which is not unmatched with their past. Thus, they tend to have no children.
On the other hand, there are moral selections for not owning descendants which are acknowledged by others, and I also agree with them. Nowadays, the world has suffered from problems related to overpopulation such as natural resource lacks, especially in the least developing countries. Some people consider these conditions and think that if we do not have offsprings, the world will have enough resources for all people, and our choice will aid to cope with this issue.
To sum up, these days, being child-free has altered a thought-provoking substance in couples’ lives. Although selfish reason is one of the important ideas about it, I suppose that moral causes have a main role in this issue in comparison with the previous one.
