The issue of whether newspapers will remain the most important source of news or not has sparked considerable debate. Some believe that they will remain the main source of news while others argue that they will not, due to the internet. I believe that newspapers will remain the most important source of news.
There are some reasons why I believe in this point of view. One of the most important is the credibility of newspapers. For example, most of the news on the internet does not have any credible source. Anyone can write anything and it spread like the fire in the jungle. Most of the people do not check the source and spread online news blindly. While the scenario is different in case of newspaper. As newspapers are own by well known media firms. So, they are responsible for what they write and share. In this way there is a check and balance to make sure to avoid any fake news carelessly. Thus, there is a factor of reliability involved with newspapers.
Another reason is that the newspapers are well organized, design and also serve multiple purposes. For instance, they are not only used to print news but also used as a main source of advertisement. In this way it involved multiple stakeholders and businesses. So, it is not practically possible to remove or replace newspapers so easily.
In the end I must say that I strongly believe newspapers will remain the most important source of news due its credibility, reliability and an important part of different people’s daily routine.
