In modern times, it is common to see a large number of citizens spending more on a broad range of household goods, such as cleaning products or interior designs. From my perspective, I find this more advantageous than disadvantageous due to a number of reasons which will be presented in this essay.
Regarding the drawbacks, there are two main reasons that are the most noticeable. The most striking one is that manufacturing and transporting domestic appliances impact directly on our environment across multiple forms. To be more specific, since the process of making these items require to extract various materials such as wood and metal, and common transportations (trucks, lorries) are used to deliver it, which is likely to diminish natural resources as well as release a huge amount of gas emissions. Another disadvantage is that overreliance on modern appliances in home can lead to sedentary lifestyle. This is because these machines are intergrated smart and sensor functions in order to help their owner handle daily homework easily, so there is a strong likelihood that the reduction of essential lifeskills can become a disadvantage in challenging situations where self-reliance is needed.
However, such disadvantages could be outweighed by the following advantages. To begin with, the growing demand for household appliances have thrived for technological firms to innovate the advanced items in recent decades. Not only may this create more job opportunities for workfore, but excessive purchasing domestic goods also boost competition among manufacturers, leading to diverse price options to comsumers. A further benefit is that household products can help consumers save time and effort in performing household chores. One clear example of this is mopping robots, it is well equipped sensors so as to clean the floor effeciently and quickly. This allows users have more time to other activities in daily life, such as spending time with family.
In conclusion, many negative impacts can be seen when this fact takes place. From my point of view, its positive influences are much greater, however.
