Cities offers wide range of facilities. There is increasing in migration as numerous individuals from rural areas to metropolis in search for a good and better life as there are various facilities like quality of education and job opportunities. However, urban life can be hurdle due to high living expenses and competition among people.
There are several challenges that individuals have to face after living in city. One of the main difficulty is managing living expenses. The lifestyle people follow in city is not affordable by common people as from rent to food and health service, everything in urban area are expensive compared to rural areas. Additionally, people in cities are quite unsociable as they are busy with their daily schedule. Therefore, there is barely any interaction among them. Due to this, individuals who moved recently can suffer from homesickness which can lead to anxiety and depression.
Despite numerous drawbacks, people still move to metropolis because it offers wide range of facilities like job opportunities and better health services facilities. People from rural area with poor background who cannot feed their family especially come metropolis because it provide jobs even if they are uneducated. Moreover, students who are seeking for good quality of education prefers living in cities because it can help them build strong career later in the future. For example, numerous students after passing their high school come Kathmandu valley to pursue higher and good quality education so they can secure their future.
In conclusion, through many hurdles and drawback like homesickness and high living expenses, living in cities is far better compared to rural areas because urban area offers great facilities, job opportunities and quality education.
