In these days increasing number of students are opting for pursuing their high education abroad. There are some disadvantages such as missing families and financial difficulties when choosing to study in different country while going foreign universities can have its merits.
One the one hand, choosing to study abroad have positive sides. For example, developed countries such as the USA and England have superior high educational systems and prestigious universities. Students who attend such universities are likely have potential chances to obtain high-salary occupation in well-known international companies like Amazon and Microsoft. It would not be possible without graduation of such universities. In addition, students might become independent. Students who live and study overseas ask for directions, go shopping, live in communities and cook their own meals. Consequently, they become more independent and mature.
On the other hand, some challenges must be considered while studying abroad. One of the main drawbacks of this could be that student who go to study abroad for the first time may experience homesickness. As as a result, they tend to lose motivation to study and experience physiological stress. Furthermore, the university fees are high most of the times in developed countries which might put students’ parent into financial burden.
In conclusion, young people who choose to obtain tertiary education in a foreign country may miss their close relatives and exposure to financial and mental difficulties whereas the opportunity to secure high-paid jobs in the future and the freedom in making their own decisions should be seen as advantages.
