In contemporary times,in many countries individuals gain the legal right to drive at the age of 18. While, some individuals believe that it is an appropriate age, others argue that people should only be permitted from the age of 25. This essay will examine both perspectives before presenting my own opinion, followed by a reasoned conclusion.

On the one hand, those who support of driving at 18 claim that it is relevant age for driving. In many countries this age is legally recognised as adults. For instance, from 18 years old they can vote, have official work, some documents. Therefore, they should be allowed to driving a car. However, statistic reveal that the 18 years old drivers more frequently have traffic accidents.

By contrast, opponents of this view point out that people at this age of start driving should be at least 25 years old, as people at this age more psychological balanced and have a less tendency to make impulsive decisions. For instance, science researched seen that human brain fully formed by 25 years old, it means that individuals at this age more mature. As a result, they realise risks and behaves more responsibly on road, it leads to decrease the rate of traffic accidents.

In conclusion, while some says it is good to allow driving at 18 years old offers certain advantages , the others think that the age of start driving should be at least 25 years old. In my opinion, the benefits of driving at 18 years old outweight its drawbacks.
