Internet is a place where we can find all information that know humanity. Of course we can find and read about historical things which we are interested in without having to go anywhere. So some people think that society don’t need museums anymore. But by visiting museums we can see things with our own eyes, imagine how it all was and find out more information than we looked for on the Internet.
The fact that we can find everything on the Internet everywhere and always is convenient, fast, free and efficient. And it pleases us. A person does not need to go somewhere at a certain time, wait, waste time and money. You can find it on the Internet at any time. For example, in 2020 when was quarantine museums opened their websites and many people can visit online tours. It was very interesting and comfortable, when people bored and couldn’t go anywhere.
But it doesn’t mean that people don’t need museums anymore. In museums we can see historical things in real size and easy to see from all sides with our own eyes. And also the fact that visiting the museum has its own pleasant atmosphere. You may feel like you’ve stepped back into those times or places. As an example, we can talk about the St. Petersburg Museum of Fantastic Beasts, where they tried to convey to us the whole fairy-tale atmosphere through the decor.
In conclusion I disagree with inference that museums are not needed anymore. We need museums for our development and entertainment.
