Band 5+: Museums and art galleries should concentrate on works that show history and culture of their own country rather than works of the other parts in the world. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In todays world, museums and art galleries are the source to absorbe and understand our history, culture and tradition. Although it is true, museums thesedays have started to show other countries history, this has created a heated debate among poeple allround the world, some think it is ok to show other countries history and culture, while some firmly believe that museums and art galleries should concentrate on work that show history and tradition of their own nation.this essay shall discuss both points of view and present my opinion, that museums and art galleries should be allowed to reflect the history and tradition of other countries.

different historians and archeologist believe that it is necessary to show the history and culture of other countries as the history of one country is connected with others, they also highlight that fact that some countries have similler history and culture and they were rulled by the same king. sience history is a vast topic and it must be looked from multiple prospectives, i believe showacasing other countries history is a good idea to learn more.furthermore, we get the complete explanation to every question we have which is very important plus we get to experience what society was like back in the day, how did people live their life, what type of trade did they make with other countries,so all this information gives us a brief idea of how the world works.for instance, in the past Nepal used to trade salt with Tibet in exchange for silver coins, this was how nepals economy got boosted and made a good relationship with tibet.however if nepals and tibets museums had not shared history of eachother, we would not have known about this so i strongly support that museums and art galleries can showcase each others history and culture.

on the contamporary, people believe that sharing others tradition and identity will have a negatieve effect on their own country. huge sum of people claim that museums should showcasing others history and tradition will help glorify others history, tradition and culture whereas our own history will looked down opon and will be on the verge of extencion.however, i disagree with this, as we represent others tradition and culture even our couontries tradition will be respected and reflected bu other countries.moreover, sharing each others believes and ideas is a moral thing and will help to establish a good relationship between countries.for instance,in the past, although india nad pakistan have had a history and have a lot in common, their ignorance towards each other and noot appreciating others culture and identity has made them bad enemies in the present world.

to sum up, while glorifying our past we must not insult others culture and identity, also we should include other nations past if they had any connections with us.altogether, we must learn to respect the culture, tradition and background of any country rather than disrespecting them.
