It is commonly discussed that the importance of music for general public differ for each person, as some would regard it solely for entertainment purpose. In this essay, I will provide insights covering both sides of the argumen, along with some reasons and examples.
The contrasting opinion amongst people regarding some object is inevitable, and in this case, some folk think that music holds significant importance in society, while a good amount of people disagree. Firstly, these contradicting perspectives may stem from different bacokground of the individuals, as humans’ taste is affected by their experiences. For instance, a sad love song that can make people cry, could be regarded as an ordinary song by others, simply because the people who cried while listening to the said track had past story relating to the lyrics. Hence, the music touched their soul and became part of important thing for them.
Another fundamental reason for people who think that music is particularly crucial for society due to the correlation between music and their immediate livelihood. For example, a musician wouldn’t be able to life without music, as thats his source of income. On the other hand, people on different jobs can still support themselves with or without music, because they regard music solely as an entertainment form. However, i wholeheartedly believe that the world without music will become dull and monotonous, that’s why everyone love listening to music.
To summarize, for whatever reasons, it is valid that music could play pivotal role for some people while other wouldn’t agree. However, i believe music is a source of joy, making our life more colorful.
