It is true that, natural catastrophes nowadays have become more and more frequent, severe and dangerous. We can surely agree that this can be due to the result of population development that took place century by century. As human concentration with the nature increased, more harm has happened to our surroundings, where we live.
To begin with, I would like to take a look on the fact that earlier in old age, there was not much pollution and natural calamities that took place. That was due to less industrialisation. Today, to meet the demand of growing population we need more supplies. For example, people ate more healthy food in earlier times, but if we see today, their diet has changed and due to this, the harm to nature to produce that kind of food has increased. This was just an example, there are many more facts that can prove this, as how development in population has harmed our nature. More human plays with the lifecycle of the nature, more the nature retaliates in it’s own ways. In old times, there were not so many cyclones, tsunami, etc. that were seen as compared to modern days.
Proposing solution to this is that we have to take threat to nature more seriously and should take actions as how we can save our mother nature. To reduces the harmful natural calamities we need to bring back the balance. For example, instead of using vehicles and burning fuels we can simply bring back the use of bicycles for travelling to shorter distances, We can start planting more trees, We can also try to stop illegal hunting of the endangered species. Certain animals are meant to maintain balance in nature, so instead of hunting and putting the species to end we should try our best to preserve them.
In the end, only humans have disturbed this balance of the nature that brought upon such huge natural catastrophes and only humans can stop them. I totally agree with the statement and I totally support to stand for this for our better future and for our future generations to come.
