In a contemporary era, advancement of new technologies, certainly domestic appliances, caused additional leisure time for women to be employed and organize their household appliances with reliant offsprings. I firmly believe that advantages far outweigh any potential disadvantage.
This phenomenon has its disadvantages in terms of taking care of children. Some people might say this downside can be solved by the employment of caregivers. Nevertheless, it may lead to lack of parental attention and the control on nurturing kids,as caregivers cannot replace the role of parents .In the early stages of their life, dependent children need maximum amounts of attention and love from their parents. Children who receive consistent parental attention often develop stronger emotional bonds compared with their peers who lack of parents’love.
As one source of income is insufficient for a standard living, mothers, by working in their additional free time, can influence the financial budget of their families and increase the overall income of their family. It is beneficial to women’s well-being because at work, they can socialize and communicate with other people and feel themselves as a vital member of society who can make a contribution to their nation. In my humble opinion, women who are in the workforce tend to be happier compared with those who stay at home. When mothers feel themselves happy, it may influence to mood and overall well-being of family members. In conclusion, although when women in the workforce with dependent children,may lead to lack of parental attention, I believe that it can be solved by a balanced approach of parents by taking equal responsibilities. Hence, the downside is greatly outweighed by the upside that can increase the overall income of the family and the well-being of its members.
