In recent years, whether the forms of shopping and technologies have affected the lives of consumers has sparked much debate. This essay will explain why I agree with this opinion. Personally, I also agree with the above point of view, as we can see the development of technology being applied to our daily lives.
On the one hand, we can see the positive effects that new technologies and ways of buying and selling have. We can buy anything in the market or through online shopping applications. This means that it is more straightforward than before to shop online and get delivery without visiting stores and markets. Furthermore, thanks to the development of technologies, online payments make people’s lives easier. On the ground that individuals are able to pay some bills and payments by staying at home instead of using cash.
On the flip side, their development also has negative aspects for life and society. People easily become dependent on technology. They will become lazy and just sit still, waiting for others to bring them food; this makes them forget how to take care of themselves. Moreover, many young people strive to steal money online from someone who has no clue about online shopping. Therefore, while we can see that technology may bring benefits, it also has a downside.
In conclusion, it seems to me that online shopping and modern technologies have created a significant shift in our lives. Consumers have greater access to information and can control how they shop.
