News is an important part in our social life. We can get some information, important events and warnings throught news. New editors decide what to be show on television and newspapers. In this essay, we will discuss the factors that influence these decisions. And explain why it’s better when there are more good news was reported than bad news.

There are many factors that influence news editors’ decisions. First, news editors usually choose news that may affect many people. Because people need to get the information that may change their daily lifes. For example, natural events, new political dicitions, disease outbreaks and economic events. Second, editors report interesting news for people. Because organization need viewers. These interesting news can attract more people to watch news. Like celebrity news, sport events, war, accident, crime and emotional story. So, editors need to choose both important and interesting news to report.

In my opinion, people can become used to bad news. If people watch reports about war, crime or accident every day, people will think about that the world is full of bad events. That’s not good for human mental health. However, I think it would be better if more good news was reported but they should have a balance. Because people need to know the political problems, envirment changing and disease outbreaks from bad news. These information are important for being a citizen because it may change people’s daily life. But good news are also important. Because good news can make people feel happy and warm. For example, successful people’s story and emotional story can give people hope to countinue life. So, a balance between good news and bad news are important. New editors should find the balance to report the news are more suitable for people.

In conclusion, news editors make their decisions base on what people should know and what is interesting. People may become used to bad if they see the bad news everyday. But that’s not good for mental health. So, editors should report both bad and good news to make sure people can get the important news and interesting news.
