There is new trend among students worldwide, more students choose humanities major, while students that specialising in STEM subjects are significantly decreasing. Cause is that number of opportunities for other majors, besides technical majors, dramatically increasing. By governments were opened new scholarships for students, it leads to rising popularity among applicants

Core factor for this problem is that for most of the people is much more difficult to calculate, doing some science experiments, rather express their ideas in words or doing art. Schools affected this issue, nowadays, especially at high schools,it is really hard to follow educational programs. Books, workbooks with tons of information, numbers, make students scared, consequently they are afraid difficulties, and choose sphere where they are wont meet any barriers on their way

Second main ground is that applicants see more perspectives and more higher salary choosing non-stem career, for example, marketing, business management and etc. In some people’s eyes, because they never saw scientists or only read in books think that STEM career won’t feed you. Although, It is not true, they create products for society and earn a lot of money from it

Overall, this issue has a huge effect on our world, because we need to more specialists to create innovative, sustainable things. A lot of reasons, such as, career perspective, own choice and etc., lead to this consequence, therefore, governments and universities need to change their requirements to attract more stem students
