Today, most celebrities are prominent for their glamour and wealth rather than their accomplices, and this sets a negative example for young individuals. However, I partially disagree with the above statement because it depends on their stills and performance; on the other hand, wealth is also a key factor.
From the outset, the reason why I should disagree with the above notion is because it is all about their performance and skills instead of glamour and wealth. If we look at the Indian film industry, we will find many relevant examples of this topic. For instance, Nawazuddin Siddiqi is a prominent Indian actor. He reached his highest point in acting; however, he has no bandaged face or wealth. This hero sets a positive example of an individual’s inspiration.
On the other hand, there are a number of top stars who garner significant public attention because they were born into an extremely wealthy family and have a glamorous lifestyle. Paris Hilton is an excellent example of this. Her fame is largely due to her family’s real estate empire and her extravagant lifestyle. By continuously showing off her excessive worth by posting pictures of private jets and big parties, she delivers the message that one’s worth is measured by material possession. This idea might make impressionable young people think that they need to be very rich in order to be respected and admired by others.
To conclude, although some celebrities fame is due to their wealth and superb lifestyles, and they send the misleading message that wealth is a key factor in one’s worth, I would contend that there are many public figures who make significant contributions in their chosen field and who are outstanding role models to those around them.
