Nowadays, there is a loss of concentration of students during classes. In this essay, I will explore the reasons behind this phenomenon and propose possible approaches to tackle such problem.
One major reason causing low level of attention in classrooms is students’ lack of sleeping hours due to excessive entertainment activities at night. Recently, many young individuals stay awake through midnight in order to engage in activities such as gaming, watching TV, or surfing the Internet. As a result, they experience fatigue in the morning, and unable to stay focused on the lessons. Moreover, inability to pay attention at school might be associated to serious underlying mental disorders such as ADHD or autism. It is impossible for children who are suffering from these cognitive illnesses to sit still and actively focus on the lessons.
Thankfully, these issues can be easily resolved with the support of parents and the government. To ensure youngsters to get adequate amount of sleep, parents can monitor their behavior at night by installing parental restriction application on their children’s digital devices, resulting them having nothing else to do except going to bed. Regarding neurons-related conditions, authorities should invest funding to public schools so that the school administrators can hire a professional psychological physician to provide appropriate assistance to these special-need children whenever they are in need. Otherwise, their unpredicted behavior would not only cause chaos in the classroom but also interfere with their peers’ studying process.
In conclusion, it is recently recorded that students face difficulty to focus in the lessons. I believe this phenomenon is possibly derived from sleep deprivation and mental diseases, and parental control or governments’ financial support are advisable to resolve this issue.
