Nowadays, the digital platforms more focus on lives and relationships of famous individuals, namely actors, singers, or sportsmen. It’s believed that they should pay more attention on common people’s lives. This essay fully agrees that the media gives excessive attention to celebrities, while it is not beneficial and simple people’s lives also deserve recognition.
To begin with, excessive media awareness on celebrities often creates false patterns of importance. Many news platforms prioritize content full of gossip, scandals, luxurious lifestyles, which attracts viewers. However, that type of news does not benefit in society. Instead of watching announcements, which does not consist any data of economic growth, environmental issues, and contributes nothing to one’s spiritual development, people should consume information that has educational or moral value. Because of major focus on futile news, crucial events in local communities have been remaining unnoticed.
Secondly, ordinary people often have inspiring stories that deserve recognition. Teachers, doctors, volunteers, and small business owners contribute a lot to society, yet their experiences are rarely highlighted. Reporting on their challenges and successes can fascinate others and illustrate real and indispensable news. For instance, storytelling about volunteers’ help to the communities, or individuals that started innovative projects can enhance the amount of people who take positive action.
To sum up, concentrating more on common people can strengthen social awareness. When the media reflects real problems such as rising living expenses, environmental concurrence, citizens become better informed and more prepared to make responsible decisions.
