Nowadays, there an increasing number of people who have a tendency to spend less time with their families. Several factors are to blame for this phenomenon, and this trend takes a heavy toll on both individuals and their families.
This phenomenon is attributed to economic pressure. Recently, plenty of people have tight budgets and cannot afford to their human necessities such as living expenses, education and food. As a result, they have to work for long hours or take on multiple jobs in order to make ends meet. Additionally, some individuals, especially adolescents, may tend to prioritize social relationships, not only close friends but also casual connections. The reason behind this behavior is that some teenagers seek attention and crave to be a popular person with a large social circle, which makes them feel proud. These shallow actions result in less time spent with family as adolescents prioritize social connections over family bond.
These actions cause to various serious consequences on both individuals and their families. Initially, the people who have to endure such a condition are subject to more stress. This is because they have less time to spend with each family member so they are unlikely to receive supports, mental and emotional values. Furthermore, as a family member spend less time to bond with family, their family ties could be lessened. For instance, children with parents who are too busy and have a hectic schedule would not be able to bond with their parents and be educated as much. Even ordinary activities such as bedtime storytelling can suddenly become challenging if mom and dad are too busy to come home before their offspring have slept. Taking these points into account, it could be said that the impact have been largely negative.
In conclusion, the reduction in people’s family time is an adverse phenomenon , this tendency arises as a result of contemporary life. By being aware of its repercussions and taking prudent remedies, people’s life can improve quickly.
