Band 8+: Nowadays in some countries the number of children aged 15 and younger is increasing. What are the current and future effects of the ever-increasing population?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, in some countries, the number of children aged 15 and younger is increasing. This growing population has several effects on society both now and in the future.

At present, one of the main effects is pressure on public services such as education and healthcare. When there are more children, governments need to build more schools and hospitals. They also need more teachers and doctors. This can be difficult, especially for developing countries with limited budgets. In addition, classrooms may become overcrowded, which can reduce the quality of education. Families may also face financial problems because raising children requires a lot of money for food, clothes, and education.

In the future, the increasing number of children can bring both advantages and disadvantages. On the positive side, if these children receive good education and skills, they can become an important workforce. This can help economic growth and support the country’s development. A young population can also help take care of older people in the future.

However, if governments do not plan well, this situation may cause serious problems. When these children grow up, there may not be enough jobs for them. As a result, unemployment may increase, leading to poverty and social issues such as crime. Large populations can also cause problems like housing shortages and environmental damage.

In conclusion, the growing number of children has important effects now and in the future. While it can be beneficial for a country, proper planning and investment are necessary to avoid negative consequences.
