It is increasingly straightforward for people to sign up for and be given a credit card. Nevertheless, a number of drawbacks associated with this issue emerge as consumers are incapable of paying back their debts. From my perspectives, the benefits of this phenomenon outweigh the downsides, despite some valid concerns.
On the one hand, there are some few discernible drawbacks in terms of using credit cards when one’s ability of paying back is not adequate. One significant disadvantage of this is the temptation to overspend. Individuals, with the availability of credit cards, are propelled to spend beyond their means, satisfying their gratification and demands. For instance, credit cards allow the youngsters to pay in advance for whatever they wish to purchase, thereby leading to impulsive purchases after which they have to face with financial difficulties. Hence, misusing credit cards can lead to financial instability and reduced savings.
On the other hand, I am of the opinion that credit cards significantly benefits people. I believe the foremost advantage of utilizing this card is the unparalleled convenience and accessibility it brings to modern life. The practice of applying credit cards ubiquitously secure a way to make purchases without carrying a large sum of money, lessening the worries of losing money. For instance, having not been able to to make money themselves, students utilize credit cards to prepay for their learning materials and courses, facilitating the academic progression. Therefore, this ease of use enhances the overall shopping experience and supports educational needs on a whole. Additionally, consumers utilizing this method of payment also receive rewards and benefits on the account of member privileges. Many credit cards offer their customers preferential treatments such as cashback, discounts on purchases, which can be beneficial for users while pushing them to expend harder. Take Vietnamese banks like Vietcombank for example, they offer exclusively to their customers cashback on grocery and fuel purchases, lowering people’s daily expenditure on stuffs. As a result, over time, rewards can lead to significant savings.
In conclusion, it seems to me that credit cards have become a pivotal aspect of our lives, enabling us to purchase instantly with numerous special treatments. Despite valid concern regarding overspending habits among individuals, the benefits of this problem outweigh its drawbacks. With appropriate measurements and consciousness, the process of utilizing credit cards can significantly improve users’ standard and quality, once affirming the positive impact of this trend in the conventional society.
