It is argued that the education of children should focus more on the literature of their own country rather than that of others. Although I admit that it is significant for future generations to progress the knowledge about my literature, I believe that we should teach children that field that they’re flexible about.
Admittedly, not only must future generations not forget about their nationality, but they must also know about their literature as a part of their culture. Exactly literature plays a fundamental role in preserving a nation and forming its native culture. There are a lot of poets
who contributed to the process of establishment of national culture. For instance, Kazakh poet Abay Kunanbaev influenced the development of the overall way of life of the Kazakhs through his creativity, pedagogical heritage, and philosophical ideas
. However, as time has passed with achievements have been made, many aspects of society have also changed. In the past, countries took pride in their literary accomplishments and sought to receive their cultural heritage to surpass other nations, whereas now, countries are competing with one another based on their success in various developing sectors. Currently, technology plays a substantial role in human upgradient, and this area will continue to be one of the most vital in coming years. So it means that literature has lost its prime. Furthermore, the current generation is Generation Alpha, which includes people who were born in 2010 onward. Children who are born in this generation are highly tech-savvy, and they are connected to the internet and social media. So they have flexibility in fixing technology errors. Likewise, they are the closest people to technology. Should we spark interest and involve children in the world of technology, they’ll immediately learn and improve the field of technology.
In conclusion, I acknowledge that literature is necessary and we should improve education about it, yet I feel that it’s better to teach children about an adaptable field instead of obligating them to teach other fields. Therefore, in my view, we must be open to the changes in time and the flow of time.
