Band 6+: Nowadays, many people change jobs quite regularly, rather than working in the one company for their entire careers. Why do you think this is happening? How can companies keep their workers?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In recent times, a significant number of individuals change their workplace regularly because they do not prefer to stay in the same job for their entire lives. Additionally, from my perspective, it is happening due to a reduction in salary and high competition between workers; likewise, employees seek a new field of job and career growth. To demonstrate this trend, companies can retain their workers due to upward salaries and support a good connection with colleagues.

In response to the first question, the main reason for changing workplaces is the highest competitive rates and declined wages. In today’s world, numerous companies try to select qualified employees, but individuals are often driven by their own goals and personal ambitions. Many workers, especially younger generations, seek new opportunities that offer promotions and more meaningful work. As a result, the rate of competition is increasing steadily, and companies are reducing the wages of unproductive employees. To illustrate, in Kazakhstan, a crucial part of the workforce—over 300 people—had been dismissed by a large corporation because they found new, prospective young workers.

Turning to the second issue, receiving prospective candidates plays a crucial role in a firm’s development. Nevertheless, the range of unemployed is rising steadily, and only a tiny minority of firms maintain wages and a supportive work environment. Offering high salaries is essential, and firms should strive for this and be more competitive because organizational services cost more attention and effort. Moreover, an underlying reason is a bad work environment, in part due to the nature of the job; therefore, a significant part of the workforce is dismissed by their own choice. For instance, firms should offer a great work environment and also motivate employees with high salaries; this is a key factor for successful organizations.

In conclusion, the trend of frequent job changes reflects a competitive life, and employees should encourage not only their skills and pursuits but also their work in the company and represent active participation there. Furthermore, it is crucial to support a positive atmosphere and sometimes inspire employees with well-paid positions. By doing so, companies can create a more productive work environment.
