In this constantly changing world, there has emerged a wealth of working modes which have been so far revolutionized for a better life quality, including the trend of pursuing self-employment rather than dedicating their talents for firms or organizations. This essay attempts to shed light on both perspectives before concluding my standpoint.
On the one hand, one might argue that opening a personal enterprise offers numerous benefits for individuals. First and foremost, offering a sense of autonomy and freedom, allowing people to unleash their creativity and make independent choices regarding their work. Unlike traditional employment, where stringent regulations and rules might limit their personal colours and expression, self-employment empowers individuals to come up with innovative ideas and implement their unique strategies comfortably. For example, Vinfast – a well-known company imposes a fine ranging from 300.000 – 400.000 VND with people getting late without noting, but this problem never happens with self-employment. Therefore, because of breaking these barriers, workers not only foster job satisfaction but also enhance motivation in their work. Although people working for themselves experience these advantages, one may wonder if it truly ensures stability with their occupation.
On the other hand, it is obvious that holding a position in a company provides career stability and financial security, which is merely to observe in independent workers. When entering a corporation, individuals are required to sign a long-term contract before becoming official employees. This committee can serve as a binding agreement representing a “tie” between the company and workers such as pay salaries on time, retirement plans and social insurances, allowing them to believe and work responsibly with their task. Additionally, companies also yield a better environment for their employees, thus people can find numerous career opportunities. For instance,
new staff can have a chance to develop job skills and seek guidance from experienced people, which can foster personal growth and problem-solving skills.
In conclusion, while there is a prevailing belief that self-employment offers freedom and satisfaction, I am steadfast with my opinion that working for a corporation offers greater long-term stability and career development.
