At present, some individuals suffer from a lack of sleep. I firmly believe that consequences will be health problems and lower both academic and work performance. However, this problem can be solved by governments introducing regulations to limit screen time and people maintaining a strict sleep schedule.
One of the main difficulties is that people will have health issues, such as fatigue and poor focus. If people do not get enough sleep, their bodies may not have sufficient time to recover and, as a result, they will feel exhausted the next day. Moreover, the less energy individuals have, the poorer their focus on studies and jobs can be, which leads to worsened performance. For example, if a student who does not sleep at night comes to school, they will be unable to concentrate well because they want to sleep during the day. Consequently, when people continue facing such challenges, adults may lose their jobs, and students can be dismissed from their educational institutions.
Nevertheless, this issue can be addressed by governments implementing stringent rules to reduce screen time. Since many individuals spend time on social media, such as TikTok and Instagram, before sleeping, they may be unable to control their screen time due to engaging content available on these platforms. For instance, if teenagers are required to follow regulations limiting screen time, they will reduce the amount of time they spend on social media, which may lead to sufficient sleep. Furthermore, people can make sleep schedules, such as going to bed and waking up at the same exact time, which helps them to get enough sleep.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that as a result of a lack of sleep, people will face health problems and poor performance at work and university. Nonetheless, this can be tackled by governments establishing stringent rules to limit screen time and individuals making sleep schedules.
