Today online communication is preferred by young people rather than meeting in real life. Some people believe that online communication is better, while others think face-to-face meetings are more important. We will discuss both sides.
Many people, especially youngs, use social media for communication around the world. Reason for this is that it’s really accessible, fast, and convenient to stay in touch with their friends, family members, or others. Especially with these ones who is on abroad, social media provides easy connection between them. Even someone lives overseas, they can make video calls, text messages, send photos, or voice messages.
Also many young people have friends in other countries, this can be because of they couldn’t find friends like themselves and found these features on the person who lives far from them. But it’s important to be careful and not to trust everyone on the Internet, because not everyone use social medias for good purpose and it’s not guaranteed that you are not chatting with someone bad who is pretending to be someone else.
On the other hand, face-to-face interactions hold the spark of connections and emotions. Without in-person interactions, it’s hard to build strong bonds. Lack of face-to-face interactions can be caused moving away from the family or friends. From my perspective, online communication is convenient and fast, but face-to-face meetings are impossible to replace. In conclusion, while communicating through social media is practical, in-person interactions are irreplaceable in building strong relationships. I believe people should balance both forms and gain benefits from the technology and also don’t ruin their relationships.
