Band 6+: Nowadays, most children prefer to spend several hours playing with electronic devices over doing more traditional leisure activities. What problem does this cause? What do you think are possible solutions?

One of today’s most problematic issues is the overusing of gadgets by children who do not enjoy the same activities with older generations. There are several causes of this alarming trend, but measures could be certainly taken to tackle the problem.

Preferring playing games with devices by contemporary children over traditional ones may be caused by a variety of factors. First, rarely do parents take care of their children in the needed degree. They choose the easiest way to make children calm by giving them mobile devices. The reason is that it is much more arduous to find traditional tips in order to decrease a kid’s voice. For instance, while feeding them, the adult put the phones in front of children and make them watch cartoons. Second, unfortunately, in the era of the urbanization, there are not enough opportunities for children to fulfill their desires about games, and it is tough to find a way how they can easily socialize.

Nevertheless, these issues are not without remedies. One way to fix this challenging situation would be increasing the parent control over kids in order to push them to avoid using cell phones or computers. For example, in case a father brings his son or daughter to the park, he or she will not even think about gaming in electronic means. Furthermore, the government should take this issue into consideration and provide the construction of game areas for children in the yards. In this way, it would be more convenient to attract kids to more social places where they can make new friendships and use their imagination more.

In conclusion, there are obvious reasons why children are not able to stay without playing games in devices. However, different approaches can be adopted to deal with the matter. I strongly feel that those listed above would suffice.
