In these modern times, people’s shopping behavior has changed from going shopping at malls to scrolling through online stores. Many people believe that the new developments’ cons outweigh the pros. From my point of view, I believe the advantages of this outweigh the drawbacks.
To begin with, since online shopping was established, many people have found its benefits, such as time-saving, convenience. Customers can easily find products that are food, clothes, and whatever they want, as if they have come to the shopping mall, so that they will avoid wasting their time in long lines and traffic. Moreover, products are delivered directly to your doorstep, which is helpful for busy people and the elderly who do not want to leave their homes. Additionally, even though most supermarkets, malls work by their timetable, in shopping purchases, they don’t have a time limit; anyone can access 24/7.
On the other side of the coin, some people worry that online purchases may pose a risk and disadvantage. They think customers do not have the opportunity to try, touch, or test the products that they are purchasing, which may lead to disappointment. Also, people use their card information for each payment, so they worry that their personal and payment data will be compromised, but if the site is secure and official, there is no worry. Lastly, I purchased a lot of household goods, even though some products have low quality, and by requesting a refund through the application, I received my funds within an hour.
In conclusion, since people are more into online shopping than in-store shopping, they need to admit that there’s a brighter side, also they need to be accountable and secure for each purchase.
