It has been a current trend for people from global societies to migrate from one country to another for employment. Most people opine that the children of these families are affected by this issue; however others argue that it is beneficial for children. I strongly believe that settling abroad is a golden opportunity for children to nurture their skills and abilities. Not everyone gets this opportunity, so these children are lucky.
However, first view of the argument is also correct in some ways. Firstly, the sudden change for these children may affect them mentally and psychologically. They have to leave everything behind and have difficulty adjusting to a new environment. Furthermore, in this context, the valuable loss of one’s own culture and language is a point that we cannot ignore.
Keeping these negatives aside, it is tough not to speak about the merits of migration. The family can live and develop their lives in a new culture. Moreover, children will receive a global standard of education, and their lifestyles will improve. For example, earning more financially in a developed country such as London than in a developing country like China.
In conclusion, shifting to another culture might be tough at first. Children and families have to go through many adjustment problems; but, at the same time, they are able to work on their communication and other skills, such as decision-making and learning. However, calculating both the merits and demerits, I strongly agree that pupils should use this opportunity to flourish in a new atmosphere.
